Titan Labs Bulking Vs. Cutting

Bulking vs. Cutting

We all have our own fitness goals. Whatever your ideal body is, you have to work at it. Whether you want to slim down or bulk up, you need to know how to do it right.

Can You Build It?

The goal of bulking up is to build bigger, stronger muscles, right? It is not to just gain weight, so forget about eating whatever you want. Ideally you’d want to build quality muscle while keeping fat gains to a minimum. To do this, monitor what you eat. Calories are important, but keep it at a level that is optimal for muscle growth while preventing excessive fat.

Training to grow your muscles requires you to change up your exercise habits a bit. Try 3-5 sets per exercise with 8-15 reps each. Also, technique is very important, so try not to focus just on how much weight you can lift.

Cut It Out!

We know that when it comes to cutting, you don’t just want to lose weight. Your goal is to lose body fat while keeping the muscle tissue you’ve worked so hard for.

Your best strategy for cutting is to combine cardio with weight lifting. Cardio is the most effective way to lose weight, but can lead to a loss in muscle tissue if not done properly. Lifting on the other hand helps keep your muscles strong, maintaining what you’ve worked so hard for.

At the end of the day, if you’re bulking up, do it in a way that allows you to do it slowly while keeping fat to a minimum, and if you’re goal is to lose fat, do it in a way that helps you lose the fat while maintaining your lean muscle mass. If you want to do both, just alternate between cycles of bulking and cutting.
